With the release of the RX Front Bumper for JL Wrangler and Gladiator, AEV is once again pushing the frontiers of innovation after pioneering the aftermarket’s first stamped steel front bumper over a decade ago! The RX Front Bumper incorporates new materials, revised style, unique lighting choices, and the meticulous attention to detail that AEV is known for.

Hot Stamped Boron Steel (HSBS) is a press hardened, ultra-high-strength steel that is most typically utilized in automotive applications for passenger impact protection due to its low weight and high yield strength. Because of its extraordinarily high strength-to-weight ratio, AEV initially used this manufacturing technique when designing the OEM skid plate kit for the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison. We were able to produce a Front Bumper that is far stronger than our prior bumper designs without raising overall weight – something we were extremely concerned about achieving when OEMs began adopting lightweight materials as a weight-saving technique.

Aside from the material, many of the essential elements from previous generation Jeep bumpers have been retained, with a few new ones added. The AEV RX Front Bumper enables the installation of two 7″ off-road lights using AEV’s Optional Off-Road Light Brackets. Lighting is always a key component while travelling safely into isolated areas (sold separately). These brackets go beneath the roto-molded central hoop, which has a sleek design that allows you to run wires down the back of the tube without there being visible or exposed to the weather. When opposed to standard bumper-mounted light mounts, having the lights hanging from the hoop enables easier access to the winch.

All OEM fog light options are compatible with the AEV RX Front Bumper, which fits seamlessly with the associated brackets and bezel. A Trail Camera Relocation Kit will be available soon to move your front trail camera (if installed) to the bottom of the cross tube, allowing you to see the barrier ahead clearly (available early 2021).

With two Hi-Lift Jack guides and a pair of heavy-duty, chassis-mounted recovery points that are tested to satisfy all OE load criteria and sized for 3/4′′ anchor shackles, the RX Front Bumper is ready for any recovery task that may arise during your travels. With the use of AEV’s optional Winch Mount, a 10,000lb Warn Zeon 10-S winch (or any similarly sized winch) may be fitted to the RX Front Bumper for the ultimate arrangement. An extra Front Bumper Skid Plate can be fitted to help protect all of the essential components just underneath the bumper. This lightweight yet incredibly sturdy Hot Stamped Boron Steel Skid Plate is a powerful final line of defence between an off-road barrier and a possibly pricey repair. A 20″ LED Light Bar may also be installed underneath the Skid Plate for extra low-level lighting, which is very useful in severe weather like fog and snow (mounting kit sold separately).

For ultimate corrosion resistance, the AEV RX Front Bumper is e-coated and powder coated.
