The “missing link” for the factory-installed Bison skid plate set is AEV’s Transmission Skid Plate. The 1′′ DOM tubular design of this skid plate was a direct result of Colorado’s special transmission pan cooling regulations, as well as a strategy to reduce the chance of debris accumulating packed around the transmission pan, potentially posing a fire threat.

The AEV Transmission Skid Plate is particularly developed for the 2019+ ZR2 Bison. This component must be used in combination with the Bison Transfer Case Skid Plate on all other 2015+ ZR2/Z71 vehicles.
