The AEV Crestone DualSport Wheel is made to fit late-model Toyota Tacomas, 4-Runners, and FJ Cruisers. The split 6-spoke design of the Crestone offers it an ultra-modern appearance while still delivering the flexibility and adaptability that AEV’s DualSport Wheels are known for. This wheel is available with a fully working Beadlock Ring for off-road usage with extremely low air pressure, a Protection Ring for street use with improved protection off-road, or no ring with black hardware for a more minimalist design.
The AEV Crestone DualSport wheel is DOT-approved and made of heat-treated A356 T6 cast aluminum for maximum strength. It has also passed SAE J2530 testing. This wheel is also TPMS compatible, with AEV’s signature valve stem recess protecting the tyre valve from damage while riding.
The AEV Crestone wheel has a diameter of 175mm and a backspacing of 4.69′′, and it can be mounted without removing the axle dust cap seen on many Toyota automobiles and SUVs. This wheel is available in a painted Onyx finish. Beadlock/Protection rings are available in a painted Silver or Onyx finish and can be painted to produce a really one-of-a-kind design.
The Crestone was designed for late-model Toyotas with 6-lug wheels, such as the Tacoma, 4-Runner, and FJ Cruiser, although it might work for other makes and models as well. Configuration options available:
No Ring – The Crestone wheel can be installed without a ring for a simple one-colour look. AEV supplies black nylon hardware for this configuration to prevent dirt and debris from building up inside the threaded bolt holes.
Protection Ring – The Protection Ring is a non-functional cast aluminum ring that serves as a sacrificial element to shield the wheel from trail scratches while also resembling the Beadlock Ring in appearance. Grade 8.8 hardware is used in the Protection Ring.
Beadlock Ring – The Beadlock Ring has a 16mm thick forged aluminum Beadlock ring and special Grade 10.9 metric hardware for greater shear strength and higher torque needs. The Beadlock Ring is solely recommended for off-road use, according to AEV.
Off-Road Use Only: Although the Crestone wheel with the Beadlock Ring is DOT compliant, it is not necessarily permitted for street usage in every state in the United States. BEFORE purchasing, double-check state and local limitations on Beadlock installation and use. Beadlock wheels must be correctly mounted and maintained on a regular basis. Beadlock wheels should only be utilized off-road, according to AEV’s general guidelines.
AEV Beadlock Tire Compatibility: The Borah/Crestone wheel is not compatible with some tires due to intrinsic differences in bead thickness across different tire models/manufacturers. The tires mentioned below have been confirmed to work with this wheel. Although other tire brands and models may work, AEV exclusively recommends the tires specified in this table. Tires with a bead that is too thick for this wheel may cause wheel failure, vehicle damage, and human harm if they are not specified on this table.
